Kind of defeats the purpose if you pick your own, I think. In that case you may as well just ask what's your favorite animal. Things like this do interest me, however, and if it were still legal I'd love to try peyote to see if I could have visions like some of my ancestors. It's something that I have always wanted to try.
Not that I've got a lot of Native American blood. Enough to qualify me as a minority, surprisingly, though I'm too pale-skinned for anyone to mistake me as anything aside from Caucasian. And that would make any excuse to try peyote basically a cheap attempt to get high off some mind-altering drugs. *shrugs*
Minor rant aside, I've always loved wolves, but admittedly I feel more of a connection to foxes than I do their more popular brethren. Either would work, but as the translation of my name means "like a fox" I suppose I'd have to stick with that.
Hawks and falcons also fascinate me...if the choice were mine to make, a falcon would be another one that'd be hard to top. But I don't think the birds of prey quite represent my own personality, my own character and strengths, flaws, and abilities like a wolf or especially a fox would.
