July 23rd, 2005 - Damage Control: Nash's Journal — LiveJournal
Plug it, play it, burn it, rip it, drag it, drop it, zip-unzip it...
I like programming. It's been so long since I've really gotten my hands on any source code. I think the last time I actually compiled anything was in 2002? That's even more embarassing than the fact that I haven't rolled the dice since 2003. =P

It's kind of fun playing around with the advanced customization page. I still need to fool around with colors images and other artistic type things, but as far as the actual components go I'm happy with how they're turning out. I may still rearrange a few pieces here and there, but it's coming together nicely.

And no, there's no real point to this post at all other than saying that it's fun to write code. Just proving that my 98% score from a post or two ago is well deserved. ::chuckles::

Windows Vista?

I know that most working titles don't end up as the name of the finalized product. But I kind of liked Longhorn. Sounds a helluva lot better than Vista. Not only that, but this one has been talked about so desperately much that it has already "caught on" in most people's minds. I know it'll take me a while to start calling it anything else...I'll eventually break myself of the habit, but probably not before it goes live next year.

What do you think?

Poll #538181 An OS by any other name would suck as much.

Which name do you think sounds best for Microsoft's next Windows operating system?

Windows Vista
Windows Longhorn
Windows 2006
Windows XP2
I hate all of these choices
Any of these would be fine
I really could care less

Excluding the choices above, what would you name the next version of Windows if it were up to you?
